As a small independent family business, we work closely with suppliers and producers.

Carrying on our families original grocers, which started in 1888 in Albany Road, we continue to offer good honest seasonal food in the heart of the Roath, in Wales's capital city. 

With Gilly's background in agriculture and hospitality, she knows many people in food and drinks businesses. Her network is extensive and growing so you know that the produce we offer at Green & Jenks is from businesses that we trust and the food chain is transparent. This gives us credibility and offers our customers reassurance of where their food is from, low transport miles, and fresh. 

The suppliers we choose to work with share our values about being more sustainable, caring for the planet and are taking steps towards being better. Some of our suppliers have achieved B Corp recognition, many are focused on sustainable packaging, or use wonky fruit and some are certified organic producers. They all have a different story to tell. We share their values. Whatever their mission, we handpick the best suppliers which is good news for our valued and loyal customers. 

Knowing where your food comes from, the connection of the land to you the consumer, for you to know that the food you buy comes from reliable independent businesses we feel is really important.

This year we will be inviting producers to host in store promotions and Gilly will be visiting some of our producers so we can share their stories with you.
